Personality begins when comparison ends. Many people over the years have lost their personal identity due to the fact that they have gone through many tunnels of comparism by their parents and friend, which puts their life on a setback. I was victim to the tunnel of comparison. My parents would always compare me with a cousin of mine( which was painful because he was a family member) who was good in mathematics... Unfortunately I wasn't good in maths. And this use to shut down my dreams.
I got Soo furious and angry, this created bitterness in me. I always thought I couldn't be the best because I had no encouragement which could sprout up my personality. At one gracious conference, my parents were fed with indepth information on to end comparison in family and this opened up a new page in my life. I began to respect the field of literature which I was very good in and by doing that, many platforms were opened for me, which brought great joy into my life and helped me appreciate my field more and more.
Never look down upon yourself, focus on your field, don't compare yourself to anyone and you'll be the great person you never knew you could be.
